Wedding Photographer: Bliss and Berries

There are lots of great wedding photographer that you can get nowadays. In choosing the right wedding photographer / videographer, It is important that you like them and consider how much money you are willing to spend then you can search according to your budget range. Always remember that these photos and videos are the special memories that will be left after the wedding, After 10 years or more you can look back with those picturesque.

I will share with you our photographer and videographer!- Bliss and Berries. I like the output of their photos it looks vintage with a bit of HDR effect, the colors are not too bright, not too much contrast and the saturation is not too strong. I super like the post process that's why i asked and convinced h2b to get them and He booked them na. :)

They will also do our 20-30 minutes wedding video highlights and 3-5 minutes SDE! Yehey I'm excited for that! Bliss and Berries is also a sister company of BlacktieProject- Another great Wedding P&V in the industry. Btw, we didn't get their prenup (pre wedding shoot) services because we have a separate photographer for that.

You can check their sample photos here

I want to share one of my favorite photo from them

As of now I still don't know where to buy or who will do my wedding dress. Since I'm currently base in Singapore, I'm planning to get my gown here because it's hassle free for me and more cheaper i think. Garden Wedding Venues in Antipolo

Antipolo Garden Wedding Venue is love <3
Finding a perfect venue is a tough task in wedding preparation. You need to consider the location and the convenience for your families and guests. If you are looking for a destination wedding that is not far from manila. You may consider the city of Antipolo, This place is fast becoming the out of town destination of choice for garden weddings and reception venues. It is closer than many people think. Plus there are lots of venues around the area that you can consider.

I'm sharing with you the list of garden wedding and reception venues in Antipolo. I've been to some of these places and emailed some of  them to send me their rates/packages to check if it suites our budget :)

1.The Mango Farm

The Mango Farm is located inside Kingsville Court Village in Antipolo City. I like the ambiance, you can see color green all over the area, refreshing and quiet. This venue is perfect for garden ceremony and reception.

2. La Huerta Estate

I've been to this place last 2008. I attended my college friends' wedding (08.08.08). The venue is also good for intimate gatherings and affairs. The are different areas to choose or you may rent the whole venue. If you want a perfect scenery you can choose the Garden Deck as your ceremony venue. This is perfect for sunset shot!

Here are the photos of the venue. These photos were grabbed and credit to La Huerta Estate website. You may check their website for more beautiful photos and complete information.

3. L' Orchard Garden Venue

The venue is located also inside Kingsville Court (just near The Mango Farm), I've been to this place during our business planning way back 2010. I did not see an actual wedding event on this place. But the venue is big and also perfect for garden wedding ceremonies.

Here are some of the photos grabbed from L'Orchard website. Please visit their site to see their gallery.

4. Jardin de Miramar

I've never been to this venue, I just checked their website for the photos and rates. The place looks pretty located at San Isidro Antipolo. Another awesome venue to consider. You may check their website for updated details and photos.

UPDATE: I had the chance to visit Jardin de Miramar last Feb 4, 2017. Checkout the latest photos on this link.

5. Sitio Elena

I inquired only thru e-mail. Another venue for ceremony and reception located at Valley Golf in Ortigas Extension. I think this is part of Cainta but very near Antipolo. For updated details visit their website.

6. L'Aquinum Garden

Also inquired thru e-mail. One of the affordable venue that you can use for 8 hours with gazebo, open garden and covered wall. You may visit their website or email: laquinum.garden@gmail.com for questions and more details.

7. Alpadi Estate Antipolo

The first time i saw the photo of Alpadi, I fell in love with the place! It's an outdoor and open garden. Perfect for garden ceremony and reception. But since the weather is unpredictable, I decided to remove it from my list because it's an open area and i want an outdoor and indoor venue, in case the rain visits our wedding we still have the outdoor! But the place is so nice and beautiful in the photos! You may check their photos and other information here. Alpadi is along Sumulong Hi-way.

8. Le Blanc Exclusive Resort

Never been to Le Blanc but my h2b checked this place. The place looks classy and elegant. It has a pool/garden area and an outdoor hall. It's a beautiful place. Good for weddings and gatherings. You may browse their website here for updated details.

I found this photo on their facebook page. Le Blanc's Pool Platform for Ceremonies (credit to the owner).
Btw Here's my post about the occular and some of my inputs about Le Blanc: Venue Hunting #2: LeBlanc Exclusive Resort

9. The Dome Antipolo

The venue is located inside Valley Golf subdivision in Antipolo City along Sumulong Hi-way. This is only the place that i checked with h2b! We went to The Dome last September. The good thing about this venue, you can own it for 7 hours and without corkage fees! (you can also ask for extension), We need long hours because the ceremony + reception will happen in one venue (like ceremony-outdoor area, reception-indoor). The place is easy to locate around 10 minutes from Robinsons Metro East. The Dome suites our budget and needs so this place is our choice. <3

You can check my review on this place here: Venue Hunting #3: The Dome Antipolo
Check also their website here for updated details.

So sorry i did not put contacts numbers on each venues, instead i put their website links to make sure that the information are updated.

Hope this help! Happy Venue Hunting!  :)

Venue Hunting #3: The Dome Antipolo

Hello! I owe a lot of stories here in my blog (lazy to blog recently hehe) guess what? we already booked some of our wedding suppliers, I will post it one by one soon so watch out. For now i will feature the 3rd venue. This time i was able to join the occular with h2b. Yep i went back home for a short holiday :)

The venue is located inside Valley Golf subdivision in Antipolo City. It has 3 divisions- outdoor area and indoor area with 1st level and 2nd level (overlooking Antipolo). I like the view nakakarefresh seeing trees and mountains at mukhang malamig din sa gabi, parang Tagaytay lang yung ambiance.  But i think it can only fill out 150 guests same with the 1st level and the outdoor area can fill out up to 300-400 guest. The price is 55k but without corkage for any supplier like photo/video and catering. The place is quiet and i think it is good for intimate occasion. If you want quiet na mafifeel mo na nasa "destination wedding" ka talaga, you can consider this venue. Good choice for a 7 hours rental, perfect for your ceremony and reception. Yes we like this place! <3

I took some photos of the venue. Here you go :)

1. 2nd level overlooking area (top) 2. 2nd level indoor (can be ceremony area)
3.The Dome indoor and outdoor area 4.1st level indoor area (bottom photo)

Venue Hunting #2: LeBlanc Exclusive Resort

Thanks to my good friend for sending me the website of our next venue: LeBlanc Exclusive Resort in Antipolo. I  find the venue elegant and classy because it is all white! So again, i asked h2b to see the place and I thank him  for being so patient with me :)

Here are the photos that he took, when he went to LeBlanc last July.

The place looks good and elegant in the photos but I'm wondering if all of our guests can fit inside the hall. They said it can fill out upto 150 guests. I'm contemplating because i need to count also the number of suppliers that will go in and out of the hall, plus a space for the caterer, for our band, picture taking and performance area.. (yeah you read it performance! haha) and i find the ceiling very low. I wanted pa naman drapes on the ceiling! haha!

Well, The garden part looks clean and good too. They suggested to put glass platform on top of the swimming pool to have more space for our garden ceremony. For the whole area they quoted us 40,000php originally it is 45,000php but since h2b attended the bridal fair in SM Masinag they give us 5,000php discount. Not bad, but there are add ons like if we want the platform and a tent outside, there will be an additional costs of 8,000php each. So venue + platform = 48,000php plus 10% corkage fee for outside caterer. They also offer lights and sounds and photo booths of course with additional costs.

Well, I need to check this place personally, before we decide. I will go back for a holiday in PH next month. wheeew! Happy venue hunting to us! :)

Venue Hunting #1: Sweet Harmony Gardens

One of the important part in wedding preparation is finding the good venue for your special day. We chose Antipolo / Rizal area as our wedding location because we wanted a garden wedding and a place that is close to the city. Since I'm here in Singapore, I only search venues online and h2b is the one who do the occular.

The first venue that we checked is Sweet Harmony Garden, It is located in Taytay, Rizal. I fell in love with rooftop venue which they call it "Amazing Haven Above" I'm thinking that we can hold the ceremony on that area with overlooking views and a perfect sunset. Then the reception will follow at one of their indoor venues. For this venues, they quoted me: 12,500 php for Amazing Haven and 25,000php for Worship Garden. Total will be 37,500php. I asked h2b to see the venue.

This is the photo that he sent me when he checked the place last June

The top left photo and right photo is the Amazing Haven Above
while below photo is the Majestic Upper Room.
The venue is good for 150 pax

H2b talked to the person in charge about the place and since I only want the venue there will be a corkage fee for the caterer that 15,000php which i find expensive plus 2,000php for the photographer. The corkage fees were almost half the price of the venue! and another thing, they do simultaneous events, As much as possible i wanted a place that holds one event per day.

So next please :P

Wedding Invitation: Unique Design

I'm always a fan of minimalist design, at first i was thinking of a travel theme invitation but since we will no longer have a theme and will just stick with the color motifs, I prefer now to have a  unique minimalist invitation with eye catching typography. Great typography adds elegance and uniqueness to the invitation. I should be keen in choosing the right font to make it look sophisticated. As a UI designer, It is really hard to choose fonts for every creatives. Fonts style speaks the overall look of the design.

Here are some examples. Credits to the owners of these great invitations!  :)

I will update again if i see some more. Enjoy! :)

Just a Rant: On Wedding Plans

Still can't sleep. Been busy in the past days feelin like i needed a long break where i could sleep, relax, enjoy, have fun, smile, laugh, think nothing and shout "stress lets break up!" I'm already used with my everyday routine: wake up, eat, work, sleep, repeat. On weekends, i just do household chores, sleep, watch movies or series and sometimes go out with friends but mostly i will just stay at home, rest and prepare myself for another challenging week.

Lately i've neen busy searching on the wedding plans. After work and during weekends i just browse the net and happily looking with a lots of inspiration and share it here. I have so many ideas in my mind. How i wish we could execute everything into reality. It's not that far but I'm hoping. Sometimes im feelin sad and frustrated. I don't know if it's only me (BTB: bride to be) who feels it. Maybe because i'm too far from home that's why i can't move forward and everything is still in drawing phase. Maybe we should not feel too excited? coz it will only make us expect. But being excited is just normal especially for girls. I think we can hope but don't expect. Another thing, the budget. Well, it will be base on what you and your partner agreed with. I know everyone wishes to have unlimited budget so everything will run smoothly because it's so frustrating when you badly want something then suddenly you have to choose for another option and then another option and another one and search an option again and in the end it's none of the above and everything you've ever wanted is on the "x" mode. You will feel the disappointment, frustration and stress.

The wedding is only a one day event, but that one day will happen only ONCE. No turning back. No repeat. No next time but the memories will last for a LIFETIME. It should be SPECIAL and MEMORABLE. It's not just an ordinary party day just for the sake of saying you already got hitched. But of course we should bear in our mind that marriage is important than the wedding. You know what i mean? I will hope and pray that the plan will be according to God's will and  everything will fall into place. I believe God will always provide. Soon, I'm ready for my big basket.

Wedding Motif: Black

Black Motif. Is it fab or not? Well most of us like pastel colors or bright colors as color motifs. How about black? They say black means sorrow and sadness so only few people chooses this color. But wait I found these interesting inspirations and it's looks elegant!

Wedding Invitation: Passport

Since I super love to travel, I'm thinking for a travel theme wedding! I love the passport style invitation and that's my idea while the save the date cards as "boarding pass". So cute isn't it? but wait I don't wanna splurge on invitation, if i can do DIY why not or i'm going to dig the cyberspace to find budgeted but quality supplier! I also want minimalist design, i find it classy and elegant. I also prefer designing my own invitation. btw, I found some creative and cool stuff from etsy. <3
